Patrick Tool’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. His technical expertise includes image and video processing, machine learning technologies, wireless systems, cloud computing software and hardware, speech/voice recognition, database systems, energy management systems, Internet of Things (IoT) devices and sensor systems, robotics and industrial automation, and artificial intelligence. He has worked with a diverse group of clients that include individual inventors, start-ups, academic institutions, and large corporations.

 

Prior to joining Kwan & Olynick LLP, Mr. Tool worked at a mid-sized patent boutique. He earned his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School in 2014. While attending George Washington, Mr. Tool worked at a patent firm and was a staff member for the American Intellectual Property Law Association Quarterly Journal.
