11/20/2014 - Recent cases have indicated a lowered standard for obtaining attorney's fees in patent cases, possibly in order to deter trolls. The Supreme Court has established that whether attorney's fees should be awarded in an "exceptional case" should be based on a totality of the circumstances in a case-by-case basis.
